Editor review

Taxi Rush is Crazy Taxi in a browser tab and it nails the genre better than the more recent City Cab on this same site does. The difference is the physics and the city design. Taxi Rush has a city that's actually fun to drive in, with shortcuts, ramps, banked turns, and verticality that rewards exploration. The taxi has appropriate weight and grip. The fare system pushes you toward aggressive driving in a way that feels rewarding rather than punishing.

Right, the boost-jump system is the design's secret weapon. Ramps positioned across the city let you skip whole blocks if you approach them at speed. Hitting a chain of boost-jumps in a single fare gives you a combo multiplier that compounds. I worked out a route on the second city map that hits four boost-jumps in a row and triples your fare. Felt incredible when I first did it.

Driving model has weight without being slow. Cornering requires actual planning. You can't just hold throttle and turn. The taxi will spin out if you push too hard, and the consequence is real because you've also got a passenger meter that pays out based on how aggressive your driving feels. Smooth fast driving pays better than chaotic fast driving.

Four stars. Solid Crazy Taxi tribute that gets the spiritual successor thing right. Half-star reservation is the AI traffic that's a little too sparse — the city sometimes feels empty in a way the original wasn't. Still recommended.
