Drift Kings

Accelerate with W or up arrow; brake with S; steer with A and D or left and right. Tap handbrake (space) to initiate a drift; modulate the throttle and counter-steer to hold the slide. Longer drifts at higher angles score more points. Each track is a points run, not a timed race.

Drift Kings does drifting right which is rare in browser racing because most clones treat drift as a single button you press to slide. Drift Kings doesn't. You initiate slides through weight transfer (brake before the corner, release on entry, throttle to maintain, counter-steer to hold the angle), modulate the slide angle with steering and throttle, and exit the corner clean to score the points. It's the real technique compressed into a browser game.

Right, the scoring system rewards both angle and proximity. Big angle scores higher than small angle. Closer to the wall scores higher than further from it. Hold the slide longer for more points but lose them all if you spin or hit anything. The risk-reward gradient is where this genre lives, and Drift Kings tunes it well.

I spent maybe two hours on the touge-style mountain hairpins working out the racing line that lets you chain drifts through three consecutive corners without straightening. Hit it once. Hit it a few more times. Felt good every time. And eventually hit it consistently enough to call it a learned move. That's the design's main success: the chains are reachable but not easy.

Mobile controls are scuffed though. Drift requires precise throttle modulation and the on-screen throttle slider on touch is too imprecise. On desktop with keyboard or gamepad this is a clear 4.5. On mobile knock it down to 3.5 honestly. Recommended for desktop play, especially if drift games are a thing you already love.
