How to play
Use arrow keys or WASD to drive: up to accelerate, down to brake or reverse, left and right to steer. Handbrake is space — useful for tight corners. Each race is three laps; finish top-three to advance in career mode; first place earns bonus unlock points.

Velocity Rally is a competent, occasionally inspired top-down arcade racer that punches above its weight class for an HTML5 browser game. It is unlikely to dethrone the genre's console classics, but it offers a polished, ad-light, no-account-required experience that respects the player's time and intelligence.
The eight tracks are genuinely varied. The desert circuit favours high speed; the forest tracks are tight and technical; the alpine track introduces ice patches; the coastal track winds along cliffs. Each is hand-designed with apex lines and risk-reward shortcut paths.
The weather effects are the game's most surprising feature. Rain reduces grip significantly; fog reduces visibility; snow creates patchy grip. The handling model genuinely responds to weather; you cannot simply drive your usual line in the rain and expect to win.
The career mode is well-structured, and the time-trial mode is where dedicated players will spend the most time. The ghost-replay overlay (showing your personal-best run as a translucent ghost car) is an excellent motivator. The mobile controls are functional but trail the desktop experience; keyboard or gamepad on desktop is the recommended way to play. For a free HTML5 racer, Velocity Rally is a strong recommendation.
