Skidpan Pro is a tight-focus drift game. One circuit (a wet skidpan, basically a flat surface with markers), score points by holding controlled slides through corners. That's the whole game. Repeat for high score.
Right, the focus is admirable. Most drift games dilute the genre with circuit racing, story modes, and other distractions. Skidpan Pro doesn't. It's the genre's central mechanic stripped to its core. Whether that's appealing or frustrating depends on your patience.
Where the design works: the scoring is generous in early sessions and tightens as you get better. The drift-angle reward curve is well-tuned. The wet-surface physics is convincing. There's enough texture to the mechanic to support an hour of skill development.
Where it falls short: there's nothing beyond skill development. No tracks. No vehicles to unlock. No multiplayer. After you've worked out how the scoring works and where your skill ceiling sits, there's no reason to keep playing.
Three stars. Tight focus is the right move for a drift-skill game but the lack of anything around it limits its longevity. Worth maybe forty-five minutes of focused skill-development time, less if you've played other drift games before.
