Editor review

BMX Stunt is side-view BMX trick game. Ramps. Rails. Halfpipes. Trick chains for combo multipliers. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (2000) is the spiritual ancestor and BMX Stunt knows it.

Right, the trick system is the heart of the game and it's decently built. Each trick is a button combination (modifier plus direction plus action button). Chaining tricks requires landing the previous one smoothly. Combo multipliers grow with chain length but break on missed landings. There's a real skill curve in working out which tricks combine smoothly and which ones leave you in a bad rotation for the next one.

What's missing is the city-as-playground feeling that the genre's best entries have. BMX Stunt has discrete trick parks, each one designed around specific tricks. There's no open-world traversal between them. You can't just chain a session across rooftops the way the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games let you.

Trick variety is decent. Maybe forty distinct tricks, with grinds, flips, spins, and grab-tricks across categories. Some of the late-unlock tricks are tied to medal counts which puts a grindy progression layer on top of the core skill development.

Three-and-a-half stars. Solid trick-game physics in a constrained format. The Tony Hawk's lineage is doing better in dedicated PC and console games, but for a browser BMX tribute this is acceptable.
