Dragon Battle IO is multiplayer dragon arena combat. Fly through medieval skies. Breathe fire at opponents. Dominate the leaderboard. The flying-arena format is unusual in browser .io and Dragon Battle IO occupies the niche without standing out.

Honestly, my main complaint is the air-combat readability. Dogfighting in 3D requires clear visualisation of who is behind whom and at what altitude. Dragon Battle IO's top-down camera makes this hard to read. You can't tell if an opponent is above or below you at a glance. The fire-breath cone is large enough that this matters less than it would in a more precise game, but it still affects the strategic clarity of engagements.

The fire-breath mechanic is fine. Cone-shaped attack with limited range. Build-and-release the breath weapon over time. Direct hits damage. Misses leave you exposed during recovery. Standard breath-attack design that the game implements without much innovation.

The dragon-customisation is the visual draw. Different dragon species, scale colours, fire patterns. Mostly cosmetic. The mechanical differences between dragon classes are subtle enough that the choice mostly comes down to which dragon looks best to you.

Two-and-a-half stars. Functional dragon-combat .io with readability issues. Worth a play for the novelty. The Dragon Shooter game on this site is a better single-player implementation of the same fantasy.
