Editor review
Crowd Run is the crowd-growth .io: you're one person at the start, gather followers as you run through the level, charge through opponents to grow your crowd. The longer you survive, the bigger your crowd, the more dominant you become in the late game. Honestly, this format is one of the better recent additions to the .io family.
The crowd-as-resource mechanic is the design's smart call. Your crowd is both your strength (mass to charge through opponents) and your vulnerability (each follower can die to attacks). Bigger crowd means more damage output but also more surface area for the opponent to attack. There's a real strategic question about how to position your crowd as it grows.
What works particularly well is the obstacle-course layer. Procedural sections of the map have hazards (saws, spikes, gaps, pits) that thin your crowd if you take them without thinking. Skilled play involves routing around hazards or taking them at the optimal angle to minimise losses. The hazards push back against the "biggest crowd wins" default in ways that respect player skill.
Four stars. Solid .io with the right complexity. Half-star reservation is the match length, which at four minutes is shorter than feels right for the depth on offer. Twice as long would let the late-game positioning develop further.
