Honestly, the build mechanic translates more naturally to browser play than I expected. You harvest wood, stone, and metal from environmental sources, then build walls, ramps, and floors to create cover or vertical position. The build inputs are mouse-driven and the learning curve for basic builds is steeper than the genre's casual reputation suggests.
What I appreciate is the resource-versus-fight trade-off. You can spend resources building elaborate fortresses or save them for emergency cover during fights. The strategic question is constant: are you in build mode (saving resources, gathering more) or fight mode (spending what you have to win the immediate engagement)? Skilled players switch between modes based on read of the opponent.
The 100-player lobby standard for battle royale is here, and matches typically run 12 to 18 minutes before collapsing to a winner. I made it to top-five maybe four times across thirty attempts, which feels appropriate for the skill curve.
Four stars. Solid Fortnite-lineage entry with build-fight depth. Half-star reservation is the absence of squad mode. Solo-only battle royale is fine but the genre's social heart is squad play, and Build Battle doesn't offer that.
