Click or tap a pipe segment to rotate it by 90 degrees. Connect the source pipe (top) to the drain pipe (bottom) before water overflows from any uncapped end. The longer the path, the higher the score. Some levels include obstacles or pre-locked pipes you cannot rotate.

Pipe Maze is a pipe-fitting puzzle. Pipes need to connect a source to a destination across a grid. You rotate the pipe pieces (each cell has either a straight pipe, an elbow, a junction, or remains empty) until you've built a continuous path. Water flows from source to destination, you win.
Honestly, this is a tired genre. Pipe Mania (1989) defined it and most of the puzzle innovations happened in the first decade. Pipe Maze doesn't bring anything new. The 80-level campaign is competently designed but the puzzles run together in my memory.
Worse, there's a time-pressure mode where water starts flowing before you've finished routing the pipe, and you have to scramble to extend the path before the water reaches an open end. This sounds fun in concept but in practice the time pressure removes the planning element that makes the puzzle interesting. You end up frantically rotating any pipe in front of the water flow rather than thinking. I disliked the timed mode and the untimed mode is too easy.
Two-and-a-half stars. Sometimes a tired genre stays tired.
