Frog Crossing is Frogger. Three lanes of traffic. Three lanes of river. Five frog-pad slots at the top to fill before time runs out. And a timer that punishes hesitation. The 1981 Konami original is one of those games where the simplicity is the whole point, and Frog Crossing doesn't add modern padding.
The one-tile-grid movement is what makes this work. Press a direction, your frog hops one tile, the lane scrolls one tick. The interaction between your discrete movement and the continuous lane motion creates timing puzzles that the genre keeps mining decades later. Crossy Road is essentially this game with a 3D camera, which is a comparison I find clarifying.
What I'd improve: the audio. The original arcade had a memorably specific blip-and-thump that this version doesn't reproduce. The sound is fine, just generic. Mobile controls work well on touch, swipe to hop, which is the right scheme. Four stars for a clean tribute that knows what it is.
