How to play
WASD to walk; space to interact with creatures and objects. There is no health bar, no combat, no fail state. Discover paths between scenes by walking to scene edges. Complete environmental puzzles (water flowers, lure shy creatures with food) to unlock new paths.

Forest Path is a counter-programming exploration game. The contemporary adventure genre is saturated with combat, threat, and time pressure; Forest Path removes all of these and produces a play experience that feels closer to a walking simulator or a meditation app than a conventional game.
The forty scenes are interconnected through a non-linear map. Some paths require completing environmental puzzles before they open; others are immediately accessible. Players who follow only the easy paths complete the game in 45-60 minutes; players who solve every environmental puzzle and meet every creature take 3-4 hours.
The hand-painted watercolour aesthetic is the games visual centrepiece. Each scene is a unique watercolour tableau with careful colour balance and gentle animation. The ambient nature soundtrack supports rather than dominates. Strongly recommended for players who want exploration without pressure.
