Editor review

Snowboard X is slopestyle snowboarding through six mountain courses. Carve. Jump. Grind rails. Chain tricks for score multipliers. The genre overlaps with the skateboard-trick category but is differentiated by snow-physics and the open-mountain layout instead of skate-park layout.

The trick system is competent. Each trick is a button-modifier combination during airtime. Chain tricks across a single jump for combo multipliers. Land the combo smoothly to bank the score; bail and you lose it. The carve-jump-trick-land rhythm is the genre's central loop and Snowboard X does it correctly.

The six courses each have a different feature mix. Course 1 is heavy on jumps. Course 2 has more rails. Course 3 mixes both. Course 4 introduces halfpipe sections. Course 5 is a downhill speed run with optional trick sections. Course 6 is the boss course that combines everything. The variety keeps individual runs interesting.

Where I'd push back is the trick-input precision. Some trick combinations have timing windows that feel tight on touch input. I had several attempted nose-grab-180s that registered as nose-grab-360s because my input precision wasn't perfect. Desktop input is more forgiving.

Three-and-a-half stars. Decent snowboard trick game with course variety. Half-star reservation is the input precision on touch. Desktop play is the recommended.
