Editor review

Trick-skateboarding games in the Tony Hawks Pro Skater lineage occupy a small but passionate niche. The format combines real-time movement with combo-input timing in a way thats difficult to do well: too many concurrent buttons and the game becomes unmanageable; too few and the trick vocabulary feels thin. Skateboard Trick navigates this constraint with the four-core-input approach.

The four-input system (ollie, kickflip-direction, grind, manual) produces a usefully rich trick vocabulary without overwhelming the player. Solo tricks are basic and immediately accessible; combos chain tricks into sequences with multiplier bonuses; the games highest skill expression comes from chaining diverse trick types (a kickflip into a grind into a manual into another kickflip) within a single line down a park feature. The combo-variety multiplier explicitly rewards diversity over simple repetition.

The six skate parks progress in trick-line complexity. The first park is essentially a tutorial with clear single-line setups; the third park requires routing through multiple feature types to maintain combos; the sixth park is dense enough that the optimal trick line involves several routing decisions that arent obvious on first attempt. Each park has both a target score (for advancement) and harder completionist targets (for medal collection).

The replay system is the games best feature. Each completed run can be replayed from multiple camera angles; the combo flow of a high-scoring run is more visually impressive on replay than during play. The six unlockable boards have subtle physics differences (turn responsiveness, push acceleration, grind balance) that matter at higher skill levels. For a free browser skateboarding game, recommended.
