Archery Master is Olympic-style archery with wind effects, distance variation, and a tournament mode. The Olympic-archery format is a deliberate one (10 metres to 70 metres targets, 10-ring concentric scoring, controlled environment) and Archery Master honours that without trying to be a fantasy-archer game.
The aim-and-release mechanic is the central thing. Draw the bow. Hold steady while wind shifts your aim point. Release at the right moment to hit your intended target. The hold-steady mechanic is where the skill lives: hold too short and you haven't aimed enough, hold too long and your arms start shaking and accuracy drops.
What I like is the gradual difficulty curve through distance. Starting at 10 metres feels trivially easy. By 30 metres you're noticing wind effects. By 50 metres you're compensating for arrow-drop. By 70 metres you're managing all three (wind, drop, hold-steadiness) on every shot. The progression respects you.
The tournament mode is competent. Twelve nations to choose from. Bracket progression through rounds of 16, 8, semifinal, final. AI archers play at appropriate skill levels for their bracket position. I won gold once and lost in the semifinal twice across maybe five tournament runs.
Four stars. Solid Olympic-archery sim. Half-star reservation is the visual presentation, which is plain. The category rewards atmosphere and Archery Master is sterile. Functional rather than evocative.
